Team Briefing #1
Country Analysis Report

Teams, as assigned in groups of no more than four, will provide a short oral briefing on the government structure of an assigned country.

The oral briefing should include the following aspects:

  • What type of government is it, and how did it develop this form (Revolution, Imposition by an outside force, colonial legacy, others)?

  • How are powers divided among the branches of government?

  • How does the government derive legitimacy?

  • How are laws or policy enacted?

This assignment has a maximum value of five points for each team member.  Slide presentations are allowed, but not required.  Each speaker should present for approximately five minutes.  Individual team members will be graded, not graded as a team.  Grades will be assessed based on the information delivered. Sources do not need to be cited, but I'll know if you're reading from Wikipedia!

Teams will be assigned a particular country.  Possible countries include:  Philippines, Togo, India, Jordan, Germany.

Teams can sign up to deliver their briefing, no later than October 6, on my calendar linked here.  Please select a "Team Briefing" slot, and list all your team members.
